Bishkek city is the name of a shopping center on Suyumbayeva street. It does not look attractive from the outside, but inside there is a cosy atmosphere especially on the ground floor where food is sold. Many stalls and outlets are run by female entrepeneurs...More

Bishkek is a great place to explore the city life of Kyrgyzstan. It's fun to pop into a cafe and have a coffee or a few beers and there is a lot going on after 10:00 pm. If you are in Bishkek I would make...More

Bishkek is probably the cheapest city I have ever visited. Osh bazaar sells virtually everything with most colourful displays. The main square had superb illumination. Busses rattle and smoke but at just 9p the fares are so inexpensive.

Spend a couple of days in Bishkek before a 10day round trip in Kyrgystan. Friendly and helpful people in the city and lot of places for eating local food. Easy to find the way.

Really friends this is the only city in Kyrgyzstan I liked. It's nightlife, night clubs and its streets are best. Ice skating in bishkek park wast the best in all moment. One of the wonderful was the way between Jalalabad and Bishkek. Just like heaven.

I had low expectations coming here and I was pleasantly surprised. Generally sights are centrally located and walkable. Relatively easy to find with the grid Street system. Friendly curious polite locals but almost no English spoken. Very hot in summer. I imagine spring and autumn...More

Huge roses of all colors and hues. Awestruck by their perfectness. Bishkek city is a small one but has lots to offer for the ones seeking Nature's beauty in all its simplicity

On the face of it Bishkek doesn't have a lot to offer, built on a grid system and relatively young. There are no old historical places, castles or cathedrals to admire. The infrastucture and many of the buildings are badly in need of repair. It...More
