We booked a Mekong River trip to Laos, just to add another country to our list! Unfortunately, our passport didn't get stamped, but we have photographs witnessing our entry to the country! There are many souvenir stalls as you enter Laos, offering Snake whiskey,cigarettes,t-shirts etc. Many of the traders will indulge in a bit of bartering with you,in a good natured way, always remember... This cruise is in southern Laos, departing from Pakse. An incredible 3 day/2 night experience. Small part of the trip by road but otherwise on this old converted timber barge just ambling along the mighty Mekong River. Exceptional staff and service. Comfortable room with ensuite. Food is never ending and overwhelmingly good. We stopped off at several locations - local... More

Travelled with Nagi of Mekong from Chiang Khong down the Mekong to Luang Prabang for 2 days stopping off overnight in Pak Beng. Service from Adisak was very professional and he booked us into a splendid hotel (Days Waterfront) for 1 night in Chiang Khong before transporting us over the border into Laos for the start of our trip. Adisak... More

Travelled down the Mekong from Houi Xai - Pak Bang - Luang Prabang with Luang Say Cruises in early March 2017, and then stayed at the Maison Dalabua in Luang Pranbang for 3 nights. We booked our own flights up to Chiang Rai and accommodation there, and Luang say Cruises picked us up and took us to Houi Xai (about... More

The Great Mekong is a must experience if in SE Asia. preferably do a 2-day slow boat trip. The river is the life and soul for so many and it was a privilege to be part of that.

We had a great time taking Nagi of Mekong. The two lunches were great, the weather was nice and the boat was quite comfortable. We also appreciated the help getting over the boarder from Chiang Khong into Laos. Adsiak provides great customer service and answered all our questions ahead of time. We shared the boat with two other tour groups,... More

Travelled on Houi Xai - Pak Bang - Luang Prabang - Nagi of Mekong journey for 2nd time in 2 years. Totally professional service from original enquiry to completion of journey at our hotel in Luang Prabang. The pick up, Lao immigration procedures and drive to boat at Houi Xai takes about 1.5 hours. The river trip is at a... More

My wife dragged me from one side of Thailand to the other to a little place called Chiang Khong, here we stayed in one of the most comfortable hotels in a month and it cost less than $40.....the room even had a spa. Adisak Star, owner of Nagi on Mekong, had organised everything for us. The next morning Adisak met... More

After vetting several slow boat vendors I selected Nagi of Mekong to take our group from Huay Xai to Luang Prabang in a 2D cruise and overnight at Pak Beng Sanctuary Lodge. I am glad I chose Nagi. I asked for a lot within our budget. 1. Private transfer from our hotel in Chiang Rai, including baggage 2. Transfer from... More

Took the 2 day slow boat down the Mekong from the Thai border to Luang Prabang. Booked from Chaing Mai. Trip is very well organised. From Chaing Mai to Chaing Rai there is a lunch stop (you pay for this). Then stop again for 20 mins in Chaing Rai to see the White Temple. Continue to the border town and... More
