The Lao version of the Arce de Triomphe in Paris. But it is influenced by the asian style. It is possible to go on top for a nice panorama over the city

It's kind of interesting, but. It's a fun stair climb of 120 steps interspersed with souvenirs on each level. So if you are looking for a refrigerator magnet this is for you. The views are not worth 2 pixels in my opinion. Although you can get a shot down the main drag in one direction. Its a low angle across... More

The architecture of this building is just breathtaking, the amount of detailing on the structure is so much and so beautiful that you actually need to take your time understanding the design. Highly recommended to visit

The history of this triumph arch is innteresting. The pnorama view of Vientiane is good. All souvenir shops on every floor is easy to bypass. Entrance fee is cheap. Walk all the stairs to the top.

The monument has a great presence. It resembles the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. It is not well maintained through. You can walk to the top and it does provide a great view of the city.

After climbing many sets of stairs, and making your way through several levels of shops, the top offers some fine views of the city, and of everyday life in surrounding areas. Take a close look at some of the beautiful building details that are visible from the outside viewing areas. Hard to believe this was built using concrete that was... More

Don't forget Vientiane is a small town in a poor country. Good location, nice views of the fountain. A quick and easy monument to see. There is an English translation of a sign inside the monument saying that this is really not well built and does not celebrate very much!!! Nothing too special. But in a beautiful garden location visited... More

We were disappointed by the inside and by the view. Just watching it from the outside is enough. You have to pay to go up

You can climb to the top of a dollar , great views of Vientiane.worth a look,,there's loads of shops inside selling tourist rubbish. If your in Vientiane it's about the best thing to go and see.
