Pleasant monument on a great Street

Waked up here in the early morning from the palace. No crowds and little traffic. Lovely monument giving a nice feel about Vientiane.

Standing highly and strongly in the central of Vientaine, It was great to see and walk through this victory gate. It was a bit shock to recognize that they sculpted diamonds and luxury stones on the roof of the gate. Look up in the evening and night time, you will the the brightest light from luxury stones and diamonds.

It is located near by government house and the roads around this landmark is super clean but I'm not sure why they keep this place Quiet dirty. I do understand it is an old place but when you walk on stairs to the top floors most of the steps are dirty and garbage were all over it. But this place... More

The views are worth the quick walk up the steps. It may be a little tiring for some but I noticed even fairly old people going up with minimal puffing. The atmosphere at sunset was really pleasant with crowds of well mannered people enjoying the scene around the fountains with Patuxai towering over them. I went 10 years ago and... More

One of the must see in Vientiane, does not offer anything particular except a view over the city. Walking from the city center: 10-15 minutes.

Was impressed with the view and should be a stop before anything else. Worth the 3k kip entrance fee dispensed by bored ladies.

It's so strange to see such a familiar structure in this setting! Go have a walk around if you get a chance. Looks extra nice at night.

Patuxai is well worth a short visit. Take the 3 flights of stairs and you will be presented with a fabulous 360 view of the city. Each floor of Patuxai has exhibits and stalls selling typical tourist gifts etc.

Really enjoyed Patuxai, a lovely Monument to see both from the base and from the top Lovely views of the surrounding area and some nice exhibits as you ascend. Beautifully intricate and ornate. Well worth a short visit.
