It looks dirty and disorganized, but it is able to be managed fairly easily. Just kept saying "no" "borman" to the tuk tuk drivers.

This is the biggest organised bust station in Laos from where you get all sorts of mode of conveyance to local and international destinations. That it is located right in the central part of the capital is an added advantage.

An ambiguous wave towards the direction of the bus we were looking for. Bus was actually a block away down another road, so be aware that you may need to hunt a little. That said, for city buses, there was AC, and the seats were...More

The bus station is located at a busy and dirty market near Talat Sao Mall. But they provide clear signs about all the buses' routes and timings.

You HAVE to go there if you plan to move to any location in the country (or at least go to the bigger bus stations that will take you far away). Staff is friendly but sadly can barely articulate one or two words in English.

As a budget traveller, this place is a must-known place in Vientiane. I like the overall bus service in Vientiane, because it is affordable and timely. This place is where I navigate my ways to parts of Vientiane.

It's always a challenge to negotiate your way around foreign countries and Laos is no different. Terminal is randomly signposted - local happy to point you in the right direction and all was well in the end..:)
