I loved my visit to the carpet museum. The museum provided us with a terrific guide who explained about the regional differences in the carpet designs. Her English was excellent and commentary informative. The carpets are beautiful.

This museum have one of the largest carpets of the world and which is granted with Guinness record book. Inside of museum you can buy little carpets as a souvenir.

Turkmenistan is a country of carpet craftmanship par excellence, after all even the national flag of Turkmenistan shows the 5 designs representing the 5 regions. This Museum give you a very good introduction to carpet and you will view the biggest carpet in the world.

I don't like carpets at all! But when you are in Turkmenistan you have to visit this museum which tells the story off the world famous tradition off making carpets in this country! Very interesting!
