This is one of the most impressive mosques that i have visited in Turkmenistan and is really outstanding for its construction and design . remembering its historical roots the building takes on a more impressive meaning

This mosque commemorates the Battle of Geok Depe, which the Turkmens lost, and which cemented Russian control over Central Asia. The mosque was built after Turkmenistan became independent.
