Every time we go to Tashkent, we stop by Abulkasym Madrassah. Even when we don't buy anything (and there is A LOT worth buying), we have a great time talking to the artists and learning about their craft.

The masrasah Abulkasim is not a MUST for lovers of amazing architecture but it is a big crafts center and can be a nice place for some shopping.

the madrassah is open area which very nice to sit in the middle and it has little crafty shops which u can buy symbols represent Uzbekistan with a reasonable prices. worth to see

I like visiting old mosques and madrasa. Thus I have spent half of a day to find this madrasa. Its location on most of the maps is in wrong place. Thus finding it took me quite a while. There is really nothing special in it....More

A lot of high quality wood work - carvings and bookstands. Some nice quality ceramics from Ferghana, which we should have bought. We met one of the best and most original miniaturists in Uzbekistan here in hujra (cell) number 8. His number is +99890 956...More
