A working madrasa with a nice garden inside, definitely worth a visit. Plus, it is located near Chorsu bazaar, so makes it a good combo.

Compared to other spots in Uzbekistan, Kukeldash is not really a highlight. We passed it while strolling around in Chorsu bazar and the market.

The madrasah has a gorgeous interior, with a lovely garden. Outside the tiles are in disrepair in a few places; however you can still get good photos. It is a short walk from the Chorsu Bazaar.

This is a good example of a standard Medressa. It's near the Chorsu Market, the traditional Uzbek market for locals. You can visit this place first before entering the market area.

Very interesting place, especially since madrasah is still in use- people take lessons about islam there. You can also see some artwork and arabic calligraphy.

If you visit chorsu bazaar this place is just 10min of walking away. Its quite nice but don't expect it to be like Samarkand or Bukhara...but it gives you a good impression what you are going to see on your onward journey. Prices are acceptable...More

The madrasa is located near the bazaar Chorsu and it is one of the scools where the students are learning the religion. I prefer not to go inside in order not to disturb the students studying in it.

This very old madrasa is the main attraction for tourist interested in history of Central Asia. it is located close to the MRT station, and very close to the traditional market. If you are not planning visiting Samarkand or Bukhara then this is a must...More
