Amazing mountains and fabulous scenery here. Lovely in the winter when snowcapped. Many areas for winter sports. Great for families and friends. Hire a place and stay for a few days. Excellent skiing areas too

I travelled with Ffestiniog Travel so if you google them you can read where we stayed in Tashkent, Bokhara, Samarkand and Khiva.

There is a Pyramids Hotel walking distance from the Chimgan lake.... so location wise its excellent. But we just had lunch over there (customised Indian food horribly made.... for which I don't blame the Uzbeks..... it's not... More
