Lovely serene place; limited to males. Great sandalwood pillars.Minarets now automated and that's a good thing as they are 53 metres tall. Pity the poor muezzin! Also home to a collection of Korans, And what is claimed to be the original,inscribed on deerskin in huge...More

Juma Mosque is a historical mosque in Tashkent. its a little bit out of the city center, but you may get there by taxi.

This is the closest thing in Tashkent that will remind you of Bukhara, Samarkand and Khiva. We went at night and it is lit up nicely, the whole ensemble is peaceful.
