It was in the neighborhood, so we dropped in.

We took the tram to see the old city walls, I believe it was Topkapi station. The city walls were interesting for a short visit (30-60 minutes) and the Panorama 1453 was in the area.

There is very limited information in English. For us this was disappointing. We want to learn more about the siege and the Sultan.

Unless you have a lot of extra time or want to see the old city walls then you might better spend your time elsewhere.

We spent about an hour and started to lose interest at the end.

Not a must visit but kinda cool

Doesn't take the museum card. It's not really near anything so you might need to Uber there. Total tour is about an hour. Read the wikipedia page on the seige of Constantinople beforehand as the English signage isn't great. The panorama room is pretty cool though.

Was bit disappointed, lift to the top and a painted ceiling with some battle scenes.

The panorama itself is interesting but not the other sections
Feb 2020
This thematic museum could be designed in a much better way and with more content. What I find annoying are the long texts that accompany the visuals. The texts are just too long (and their translations have sometimes problems). Some of the texts are also opinionated and that misses the objectivity of all the affair if one cares about. At the top, you arrive the panorama which is way better after going through the visuals in lower floors. If that panorama could be animated, it would definitely have a more exciting experience.

Mohammat el Fatih conquerer of Istanbul
Dec 2019 • Couples
Worth visiting. We ended there by chance and we enjoyed it. Entrance fees 15 lira and 5 lira for the headset that will translate and guide you through the battle of Istanbul conquering by AlFatih Mohammet. Amazing sounds and display of battle.

Fascinating experience
Dec 2019
Despite its small size - the Panorama depicting how Istanbul was concurred is truly amazing. The art work is superb and the battle artifacts ( actual cannons, weapons used) are amazing. Entry is cheap at 15 TL per person. Worth visit.

Visiting Panorama 1453 in Istanbul
Oct 2019
It was picturesque and detailed with so many drawings, especially the ceiling and the sky. It was accompanied with sound effects though they were loud. The little kids may find it annoying. The exhibitions and visuals through the floors were colourful and vivid.

Panorama 1543

I got on the wrong tram and ended up in the Topkapi district where I found the Panorama 1543 museum. What an amazing find. No-one should miss this incredible experience - you and find out for yourselves.

360° panoramic view of the 1453 battle for Constantinople with sound effects
Sep 2019
This museum is a must for anyone interested in world history. Unfortunately the signage on most of the displays is Turkish only, but the main attraction, the huge 360° panoramic view of the May 1453 battle, does not need signage. There is a museum shop, but again most of the publications are Turkish only. The admission was 15 TL. To get there, take the T4 tram line to Topkapi station, and there are signs outside for the museum. You should also visit the Theodosian-era city walls and Chora Museum, which are nearby. I believe that Sultan Mehmet entered Constantinople through the city wall opening clearly visible from the Topkapi station area, at the conclusion of the battle. Naturally the point of view is overwhelmingly from the side of the victors in the battle, but it is still a must for history lovers.

Nice experience
Aug 2019 • Family
We walked a huge park to reach the panorama. Once you enter, you will be surrounded by a 3d image of the war with sound effect. Outside you can see the historical wall. Nothing more but the experience is nice.
