Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This dinner cruise seemed like a great way to bring in the New Year with my partner. We were joined by a colleague and her spouse. Fortunately we booked early enough to get the lowest promotional price (99€) because it increases to nearly double that by New Year's Eve. The pick-up arrived as promised (just!) but there seemed to be some confusion as to where we were to be let off to join the boat. The "welcome cocktail" never arrived, unless it was the first drink we had while sitting at the table waiting for departure from the pier and for the meal. Everybody had a great evening because they were determined to - it was New Year's Eve. However, the service was not up to par. Everybody had finished their first drink by the time the starters arrived. Everybody had finished the starters by the time we were able to get a second drink. And so it went for the evening. The food was basically what had been promised but "basic" is the key word and the main plate was only served when it was time to go upstairs for midnight. It didn't matter that it had to be left because it was cold anyway. Nobody at our table got any of the sparkling wine that was being distributed on deck, although some groups of guests had bottles to themselves. When we were back at the table and finally succeeding in convincing them that maybe we would like some of the bubbly to celebrate the arrival of 2014, the waiter seemed to think that we wanted to wear it rather than drink it. Although we were not Formula 1 drivers, that finally might have been the best thing to do with it anyway. We had been promised we would be as close to the fireworks as possible and assumed that they would be from the bridge across the Bosphorus, which is where the boats gathered close to midnight. While there were fireworks from many places on both sides of the Bosphorus, the main fireworks were actually let off back closer to where we had boarded the boat and far from where we were. The evening's on-board show was entertaining and varied and there were lots of opportunities for people to get up and dance. Would I do it again? No! I would spend my money on a good meal and show in a quality restaurant and then watch the fireworks from outside.

We had a dinner cruise for an extended family of 8 on this company, and the experience was overall very nice. The beginning with a buffet dinner and lots of people queuing in random order gave a bit restless feeling, but after that everything was very nice. The food was good turkish fare, of course not exactly a Michelin-star level experience but quite OK. We especially liked the freshly, on the boat, barbequed meat and chicken.

The night-time views on both the Golden horn and the Bosphorus were great. The programme was offering something for everybody from the small kids to adults, and was pretty good value for money. Out of the two bellydancers, the first was taking money from men to her bras, which is very tasteless in our view so we left upstairs for that time, but other than that the adults programme was good. And the personnel did a good job at getting people to dance in the end, even though it was a completely mixed international crowd. And the fresh sea night-time air upstairs was wonderful.

Make sure to book directly with the cruise company itself, we got the price down by some 20% doing that compared to booking via some travel agent which had brochures at the hotel for exactly the same service. We paid 58 EUR for adults with alcoholic drinks and 45 EUR for kids without, including the hotel pick-up and return service.

We were only visiting Istanbul for two days and had been recommended to take a dinner cruise. This one looked good online. On the night we were collected from our hotel - so far so good. We arrived at the boat at around 8pm. The boat didn't leave the dock until around 9pm during which time we were given a very poor cold starter and one glass of wine (note the price includes "unlimited" alcohol - sadly the waiting staff are so busy you only see them every half an hour or so. Eventually the waiter came around to ask what we wanted for our main course. The choices were "meat or fish" - hopefully my photos say it all! We eventually got back to the dock at around 1130 and were taken back to our hotel. Fortunately we only paid €40 each for this night out - there were other people onboard who had paid double that. Plenty of room for improvement here - better service and better quality food.

We bought online for a dinner cruise. was promised to be picked up at 7.30pm form the hotel. they only picked us up at 9.30pm from the hotel. When we arrived, the cruise obviously was not there (2 hours late). After some calls made. the cruise came back just to pick 3 of us from the shore. The cruise then went 100 meters only and made a U-turn to bring us back to the shore. We spent hardly 30 mins on the cruise which served us the left over cold food. A waiter in the cruise approached us and informed us that it was not their mistake but rather the agent who is suppose to pick us up.

Bottom line, who ever is responsible for this mess should be refunding us. Yes? No?

There are just too many cheaters around. Online booking is not trustable. Be very careful.

The one we joined had "Ottoman Nights" on the flyer. We had just seen separate dinner shows in Georgia and Armenia and while I don't expect the same quality all around, this one didn't even try. The dances were lame, one of the dancers looked like she definitely did not want to be there, food was terrible and I almost never give poor reviews for food, they would pull you over to put you in a costume and charge you for the picture. They had singers who were reading lyrics off their phones. There was dancing to Despacito and some other apparent local favorites. People were nodding off. We couldn't wait to get out of there, what a shame that this is how we spent our last night in Istanbul.

If you’re reading this.. this is your sign NOT TO DO A BOSPHOROUS DINNER CRUISE. It was literally the worst night ever. First of all, it is absolutely nothing like the pictures the people who sell you the tickets look like.

Youre sitting shoulder to shoulder with others at your table. There is literally no space - they sold as many tickets as possible and got as many people as possible crammed into the boat. Basically the entire time you’re trapped there they’re trying to sell you something (pictures they take of you, dress up in traditional garb for a fee, sell coffee to you, etc..). Dinner consisted of a few blobs of dips that are on your plate from the second you walk in - the food is just chilling on your plate for everyone to breathe on. Then they literally…served 1 chicken nugget to each person. Yes, like a frozen chicken nugget.. the main dinner was also disgusting and obviously just bottom shelf frozen food to keep the cost as low as possible. Once the “shows” started it just became laughable. The whirling dirvish was just 1 guy who twirled around a couple of times. The belly dancers were definitely not dancers and mostly walked around. Then they brought out this “funny” guy and it was just a fat sweaty man in glasses dancing around all awkwardly. The entire experience was horrible and cheap. The music was also so alarmingly loud that my entire party had to sit outside for the rest of the ride. We counted down the minutes for the cruise to be over. It was seriously the worst experience ever. I would not recommend at all. Normally I would say, wasn’t for us but you might like it but trust me.. you won’t like it.

Obviously they don’t care about how bad the experience is because they know you’ll just do the cruise once and you’ve already paid. The boat is crammed, loud, horrible food none of us ate..

The food served on board during the dinner cruise with show was incredibly indecent! The kind of food that is served in low cost trip and not in a 100 euros dinner. The show was performed on the open deck with cold weather and very poor exhibition. Don't waste your time and money in such a bad tour.

I went along with my husband following recommendation from a friend.

To be honest, I were not impressed with the food and show. I already checked it was probably better than other cruises as the ship is new.

Good job we had a discount. Very tourist and commercial....
