This is a no-frills hamam, not a spa. That said, I liked it. I stepped over the threshold not really knowing what to expect, and as I don’t speak Turkish, I was a little at a loss to know where to go and what to do. I decided to let myself be guided by the staff and, when they were... More

Hamams are very much overpriced in İstanbul and so for İstanbul the value is ok. However after visiting this on three times now they have consistently rushed us through cutting the visit a bit shorter than it should be and much shorter than what I've gotten out of other places outside of İstanbul. It definitely feels local and authentic despite... More

I had stumbled across this place on a visit to Istanbul in November last year and didn't realise what a find it was until I visited more touristy, luxurious places on my most recent trip. Its great value for money, a real Turkish experience and you come away feeling so clean.

Staff don't speak English, but they guided very well during the bath. I received a great massage I could stay relaxing for a long time in the sauna without being bothered.

In a very busy an lively neighborhood, Azizye Hamam is a clean, friendly and non-touristy way of experiencing a relaxing Turkish bath.

I had been to a grand hamam in Sultanahmet 25 years ago, but it is now very expensive. I decided to try a local hamam in Kadikoy, up the street from the buses. I was really pleased. It was a little confusing at first, but after a bit I figured it out. There was a family there, about 10 AM... More

Traditional hamam (Turkish Bath) is very good for Istanbul visitors or fans on the Asian side. Warm place, clean and staff are nice. If you bring your own towel and slipper it would be more useful.

I have never been in a hamam before, so I have no comparison with other places and I wasn't sure what I should expect. We went with our Turkish friend, so communication wasn't a problem. I loved the atmosphere of the place, which really let you relax! :) The vigorous scrub peeled my skin and let me get a better... More

Went for a Bachelorette spa day. I understand it is authentic, but doesn't have the frills of your average modern day hamam in Istanbul. They skimped on the masage aspect on the women's side. Don't go with lotions on your body. Wait to shampoo your hair until after. Ask to buy a new scrub mit, or else they will use... More
