Connecting Europe and Asia, this place surrounded by the Bosphorous is an impressive area full of old buildings, the sight of Mosques and a huge and cosmopolitan City. Try to enjoy crossing the Galata Bridge, try a fish sandwich, Go up to the Galata Tower...More

Our tour guide took us to Pierre Lotti Hill from where we were to take the cable car down, but the hill gave us a fantastic view of the Golden Horn.

Bosphorus and Marmara sea forms this horn shaped strait. If you really wish to see this strait than visit the top of the cable car behind Eyub Sultan complex.

We had to meet our son here after his school trip. It was an easy ride from the Taksim area. The buildings here were older and more interesting. But, seemed far from other points of interest.

Impressive historical buildings vs crazy traffic of Halic meets in Golden Horn. This vies best summary of Istanbul Life to me. I visit there anytime I go to Istanbul. Calmness of fishermen on very noisy and crowded bridge seems like dance of the contrasts.

This is such a lovely place, always dynamic and full of life. We just loved walking through the area around the Golden Horn and across the Galata Bridge. The fishermen and number of boats is incredible and well worth taking a ferry over the water,...More

It has shape of a horn hence called the Golden Horn. Best view to see it from high up is to get cable car to top of Pierre Loti and get a good sun set view with tea/coffee on top of the Hill.

Has several pedestrian bridges, also the metro has a station on one of the bridges. Great place for taking photos - at night or in the daylight.
