About
Also know as the Flower Passage, the courtyard of the Cité de Péra building was once the favored spot for local flower-sellers. Today, the lively area is home to many restaurants, taverns and shops.

Address
Neighbourhood: Beyoglu
Istanbul’s most famous street, pedestrianized Istiklal Caddesi (Independence Avenue), throbs day and night and offers a fantastic array of architectural sights, shops, treats, and throngs upon teeming throngs of people. At the avenue’s northeastern end is expansive Taksim Square, thought by many to be the very heart of the city, with many of Turkey’s most renowned restaurants and some of Europe’s most happening nightlife in close proximity. In striking contrast, Beyoglu’s less trafficked areas – such as the affluent Cihangir and the antiques district of Cukurcuma – exude Old World charm and provide contemplative calm and splendid diversion via an assortment of cozy cafes, attractive boutiques, and quiet lanes.

We ate here one night for dinner and it seemed like a tourist trap. There are lots of restaurants but they all offer more or less the same thing. Dinner was good but I wouldn't go back as there are so many amazing restaurants on/near Istiklal.

On the street Istiklal there are ten different two passages - covered galleries that have a through passage and are used for shops, cinemas, restaurants, confectionery and other shopping and entertainment establishments. One of the passages adjoining the fish market is historically called "Flower". Now here inside the cafe and all sorts of shops! You can stop by if you have time! An incredible.

Not sure if I was fooled by the looks but this place looked like it was full of Turkish people eating proper Turkish food...
All I can say is: I had a great time and enjoyed every single bit of what we ate. The atmosphere was great plus the bill was really good. What else could you ask for!

The place which had called as Hristaki pasaji changed its name as Cicek Pasaji, since lots of florist shop opened in the armistice years.
The meyhanes originally opened in 1940 (especially nektar beerhouse) magnetized lots of guest. The restaurants in there is serving those who like raki, fish and side dishes accompained by fasıl..

I was there in March 2013. Actually, I had passed this place for so many times...I was always curious about it, because, once long time ago I met a Russian man, who had been a writer and he told me a nice story about it. He said, that in the times of Russian immigration to Constantinople(that time) in 1919-1924 some Russian aristocratic women had worked in this famous flowers passage and they were poor, but proud of themselves and always refused many rich gentlemen, buying flowers from them to go with them, as some of the other women did there sometimes...So, the legend about those Russian noble women is still alive and they say, the old Turkish men, who were kids that time and who were brought to the Çiçek Pasajı by their parents in the early 1920-s still wistle with sympacy, telling the stories about poor, but well dressed Russian aristocratic women, staying there with the flowers in their hands... Nowdays the passage has some cafes and restaurants and is still almost as beautiful as it was long time ago! Enter it and look around, feel the atmosphere of the passed times and relax...

If you are in Istiklal street, definitely visit, take a stroll down the passage and try to resist the numerous waiters trying to get you to eat at their restaurant.

This place is another must visit in Istanbul. The tables of the many restaurants gather under the ceiling of this beautiful street turned into a sort of sea-food gallery with french arquitecture. Not cheap but very interesting and definitely beautiful.

Worth to visit only to admire the arcade, have a drink if you want but don't eat here. Walk in through the entrance from Istakal, take photos and walk through the passage, at the end turn left and walk out through the other entrance that opens from a side street. You will find a small bazar, turn right and if you walk a bit you will find authentic fish restaurants full of yummy dishes. Unfortunately we realized this after a meal in cicek but next time for sure we'll eat in one of these places.

even though the atmosphere was very good, the quality of food is not that great, and also comparing to other good restaurants, it was overpriced. Definitely an experience, but a one time only just for the sake of it.
