Top ways to experience City's Nisantasi Shopping Center and nearby attractions

The area
Address
Neighbourhood: Sisli
For much of Istanbul’s history, Sisli and the area just north of Taksim Square were open countryside used mostly as hunting grounds. These days, Sisli and its chic streets are considered the very heart of contemporary Istanbuli life, where an epicenter of fashion and a thriving business district meet to create an expressly “downtown” feel. Though largely a residential neighborhood, luxury hotels, fine dining restaurants, and upscale shops abound with many of them situated inside or nearby Cevahir Istanbul, the biggest shopping mall in Europe and second biggest urban shopping mall in the world. Shopaholics and fashionistas travel from near and far to browse the area's mix of major global brand items and creations by popular Turkish designers.

This is a 7 story building in Nisantasi, and for Istanbul standards, it is considered a relatively small mall.

Unfortunately I was expecting to see something more, which I did not. The brands here were similar to the brands you get to see in any mall in Europe, but most importantly the prices were also similar to the ones you get in any other country in Europe, while the cost of living in Istanbul is at least half of most European capitals, so the prices there did not really make any sense.

Thus, if you are a tourist and you happen to be in Nisantasi, better spend your time seeing something else, since whatever you can buy in this mall, you can actually buy it in your own country, and for the same price.

Not the most exciting mall. There is a Mango, bookshop, coffee shop and an upmarket food court on the top floor. Although there are multiple floors, each floor only has a few shops. It's clean and not chaotic like other malls. Easy to get around as it is so small. The supermarket on the ground floor is useful. Definitely not worth a special trip! If you are in the area.

City’s boutique shopping center is very well and nice located. You can find everything. It’s very charming! While I was shopping, my husband and kids were busy discovering all the floors, they had lovely time and I was able to discover very nice Turkish boutiques. When I was done, we decided to rest in then courtyard. Plenty of choices were there and finally there was a movie theater! Thought it’s in Turkish, kids had good time and I had a rest!
I loved this place!!!

An unexpected find during our walk, we were actually going to Wagamamas restaurant which is located on the top floor. The restaurant was great, quiet and the food was lovely. And then to find the shopping mall was an added bonus.

Compact shopping mall in Nişantaşı district. The food court is located on top floor with cinema. There is no place for kids to enjoy their time. The shopping mall offers valet park service.

Came here everyday for the Starbucks. Made my flat white perfect every time!! Lemon cake was the best. Nice mall. However, variety and prices in regards to the shop were off for me. Not accustomed to shopping on this side of the world. Nice place to window shop. Mexican restaurant upstairs was ok.

From Kiehl's over Victoria's Secret to a small Disney store but also with the most important Turkish brands and cinemas, restaurants. And this in the middle of the most expensive street of town, Nisantasi with all major world brands, many restaurants, cafes.

Last summer I really wanted to experience nisantasi and get to know the area relatively well which I think I did as I spent a lot of time around there. City shopping mall is EXTREMELY SMALL and doesn't really have anything to offer. If you are going to istanbul on holiday for a limited amount of time I would definitely not come here. It cannot even be compared to somewhere like westfields in London. There's a massive car park underground which is kind of cool. The shoppers in the mall are mainly rich snobs who live in a bubble and prance around in their chanel espadrilles and Dior sunglasses. The other shops in nisantasi outside the mall are better and worth a visit rather than city. This is just my opinion though, hope this has helped.

It's a mall that exactly matches to Nisantasi district with fashionable brands, famous diamond and gold brands, but the prices here are really more oriented on medium-high level customers.
