Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Ataturk Cultural Center on Taksim is newly renevated and worth a visiting even if you do not go to a show at the center. The architecture is interesting and there are bookshops and coffee shops to visit. Sometimes there are exhibitions for free, like the history of one of the countries famous poets that we visited. The view over Taksim and the square with the new Mosque is lovely. As you get out of Taksim Metro and face the monument on the square , the building is behind you.

This has somehow became the symbol of Taksim area. However, after the happenings in Gezi Park/Taksim in 2013,this building is under the control of İstanbul Government and is used as a check point.Supposed to have under renovation since a long time, but No work is seen.Nobody knows when it is going to start for renovation.Sad to see it under such a bad condition.

This Cultural Center was one of the most important venues of İstanbul for theatre, opera and other activities. However, since a very long time,it is under renovation process as it has already terminated its duty and urgently needs to be totally reconstructed. At this moment, nobody knows about the fate of the centre as there is no official information flow about the renovation process.Sad to see such important venue under bad conditions like this.

Atatürk Kültür Merkezi is still in an unknown position for its future as at this moment nobody knows what is going to happen to this old and only available Cultural Center in İstanbul.Pity to see it under such poor conditions like ruin in the heart of the city.

This is still very strange to see this important center in the heart of the city not operating any more with any cultural and art activity. And nobody knows when it will be back to serve to Istanbul again.Pity to see it under such bad conditions since many months.

Atatürk Kültür Merkezi is no longer. It was broken down and cleared in 2018, as my friends told me. I could not believe it, but it is true. Instead there is a yawning gap or empty space at Taksim Square now. I heard that a new Atatürk Kültür Merkezi will be built sooner or later. Let us hope for the best.

This is the Cultural Center of Istanbul which was built during the 60s and 70s at Taksim Square. It housed many great performances like Fiddler on the Roof in the seventies. Lately it was taken under renovation but it seems nothing is going on. This ex-beautiful center of its times is left in ruins waiting for its fate. Its a real pity.

A Conference Theater Center with what I can call a legendary design, located in Taksim, the center of Istanbul, which has been reconstructed when it was old and reached a magnificent beauty.
You can find yourself in an ambience where you will feel like you are in a time capsule.
