I tried to imagine what this obelisk could tell us if only it could talk!! Horse and carriage races in Roman Times! Only one third apparently of the entire Obelisk remains and still it is so large.

Unique structure. What is missing is written information, illustrations and drawings. There are 4 sides at the roman foundation below the obelisque. On each side there are different things to say. Informations atc. are missing. The authorities should think about this.

this place is next to Sultan Ahmed mosque and its good to know about its history.you can take tramway to reach the Sultan station and only 5 min walk to arrive

It was brought by Theodosius from Egypt in 3rd century in AD 390. It stand tall at the Sultanhamet square.

Very near the Blue Mosque so when walking past its hard to miss. Obviously nothing spectacular but interesting and in a nice area with seating for a quick rest.
