This church is one of the 3 beautiful churches I saw in Istiklal street in Istanbul and they are easy to get there and also they are not charge you for a visit like other places in turkey...

You can see Aya Triada from the Taksim square behind the Burger king. It mostly closed but at Sunday morning possible to get inside. Very beautiful and peaceful place...

Unfortunately Istanbul doesn't seem to value this most beautiful church. It does not seem to be promoted anywhere. There is an attendant who will open it for you. Do make your presence known. You won't be disappointed.

Indeed, situated near the bustling Taksim Square and Istiklal street, the church offers an oasis of tranquility, inner peace and silence! It is an active church, where there are Orthodox services, with wonderful paintings and many icons of saints! No street noise does not spoil...More
