Legend has it that the 3 people buried here are sahabi with an interesting backstory... I'll let the locals fill you in as it's better that way. Well worth a visit, however not much to see from an architectural point of view.

It was a gem in a very crowded area , first of all it is very difficult to find this place, it is in karakoy area. This mosque is built underground and has shrines of companions of prophet muhammad ( p.b.u.h ).

We visited this mosque just to see the shrines of Sahaba and pray for them. The mosque itself is not an easy one to find, but use TripAdvisor map and ask someone when you are nearby. Many people seem to know of its location.

If you are exploring Karikoy, this is worth a look. The mosque is in the foundation of the old castle from the period of European occupation of this area. The pillars are massive but plastered and painted white. Two Muslim martyrs are entombed here.

It has a wonderful architecture and its really interesting. It should be added to city tours. But they should take better care of it.

As previously stated this mosque is under a vaulted roof with low ceiling. Nothing touristy but an interesting stop for architects or Muslims.

Sitting pretty with an age-old air about it, Karakoy
is situated on the European side of the Bosphorus at

historically significant area, it’s currently one of
the most happening parts of town as well. Here street
vendors and alfresco fish restaurants line the banks
of the Horn where the views of major attractions
across the water rival Karakoy’s own key attractions,
