For me not worth the time and effort to get there lots of cafes and restaurants but none that appear special. shopping very limited would not advise to go here if you enjoy shopping. there are much better places on the European side.

If you visit Istanbul, means you can drive between two continents. We started this morning from Europe and reached to Asia specifically to Bagdat street. Such a viral street, well organized, many shops, cafes, restaurants and close to metro station Marmaray. Easily you spend few hours in walking, shopping and dining.

This is a lively place with the most famous shops,restaurants,cafes and bars.Pls do not go there with yr private car as traffic is very heavy and limited parking place available.If you will come to this street fm European side,take sea bus fm Bakırköy and Kabataş ports to Bostancı in very short time and then walk about 5 minutes you are on the street.Very easy.!When you finish this street,pls take any yellow shared minibus going to Kadıköy and visit also famous Kadıköy Fish Market where you can find about 100 different kinds of restaurants,eating houses,fastfood,cafes.

This street is great for shopping. It happens to look more european style than the european side of Istanbul. All this area does. It was quite odd that we didn't see hardly any tourist at all while we were there; it is a very large street on the southern side of Asia so I guess some people don't want to be bothered in going that far. We did. We took the ferry in the Eminonu port (the one that says Kadikoy Iskelesi (not the one that goes to Uskudar, which is more to the north of it), once there, you will see a ballon that's red and white (you are in Asia now, no welcome sign or anything, but you are). There are bus stops close to where the boat arrives, take number 4, 16 or 16b and sit down, in 10-15 mins, depending on traffic you will be close to bagdat cd. you will have to get off the bus when you see the sea again to your right, at Erenkoy stop (it's written at the bus stop) Once there, there's a macdonalds to your back, you can cross the street in that direction and walk up a few hundred meters, the next big street you encounter will be bagdat cadessi.
Most of the shops are located walking from this area to the right (numbers 350 on, aprox), on the opposite direction to traffic. Marks & Spencer, Gap, Mac, and many others international brands are there.
When you want to go back, just pick any bus stop, most of them lead you to Kadikoy port and from there, the ferry leave every 10-15 mins more or less so it's really simple.
We found out though that they are not very used to tourist in this area so most of them dont speak a word of english, specially in restaurants, so just point at things, that's what we did and we had lunch and drinks after our shopping spree with this method. In shops, at least one person at each shop spoke decent english, so it is ok. Also prices for food and drinks were cheaper than in the european side and most of the clothes and shoes were also quite reasonable.
One interesting experience, for sure.

Bagdat street is one of the nicest streets in Istanbul. All the brands are there. Big brands, casual, haute couture, turkish brands, ... with lots of restaurants and cafes. All on the same street stretching for approximately 6 km. The street is longer but the important things are on this stretch.
To get there from the European side, use the Marmaray and then don't try to walk there from the station. Take a taxi or a bus.
And as an advice if you want to ask for directions use the name bagdat street not bada street like some reviewers suggested. I have tried it and got directions when i used bagdat street, and a weird face when i used bada street.
If you like shopping and you have time don't miss it. As nice as Nisantasi with everything on the same street

Really it doesn't worth the effort if you are visiting Istanbul for the 1st time. It' s far away from the historical center and nothing special. I visited during my 4th visit to Istanbul.

Who wants to come to Istanbul for shopping international brands? The boulevard is the classical fashion street from every big city in the world. For sure you have those brands in your country as well. And prices are exactly the same.
you can also find turkish brands of clothes, especially bride's dresses, but in my oppinion not spectacular.
And you won t find any bargains in Bagdad Street.
Nice caffees and restaurants are there indeed.
So,if you have a couple of hours to waste and are in the neibourhood go for a walk. But to travel there only for this,is not worth it!

This road known as Bagdat Caddesi in turkish is a great place to spent a morning if you want to shop, have some coffee or food. There are big sidewalks which are full of beautiful trees and benches where you can have a rest.There lot of shops for every pocket.The cafes and the restaurants are great with normal prices.

Really enjoyed this street, even when you aren't shopping and especially when the weathers nice. It is a must see on the Asian side and is located parallel to the sea side which is nice for a walk too.

It's a shopping street like many other but it has a charm of it's own, but the shops a far more interesting than many other places I have been to (Oxford Street, Champs Elysés, 5th avenue, etc.). It wasn't to crowded when we were there, and it's definitely better than thé european shopping streets because it's far more sophisticated. Of course everybody has their own opinion, this is mine and I love going there ! Especially drinking a nice cool lemonade in the hot summer days at the Divan Cafe;

You can get on the metro at Marmarai station and off at Bostanci Station. It takes about half an hour.

It is better to take a taxi to make it easier for yourself. I took the metro and then took a bus after getting out of metro at goztepe station and then after leaving the bus I had to walk. It would have been easier if I just took a taxi to reerve my energy for the walk in this beautiful street

La mapa monstra incorrecto parte del Calle Bagdat y los lugares que dice 'cerca' son incorrecto tambien. Si es Calle Bagdat pero es el parte de Maltepe distrito. El parte bien y famoso es Kadıköy distrito.

How can we get to baghdad street from taksim square? Which part of baghdad is the best for shopping and in which part best cafes can be found?

Now if you like to take the ferry across the Bosphorus and then go through Kadikoy it would be really nice side view for you but if you like to use road get a cap from the top of the Taksim hill where they cue or mini-yellow busses usually go to Baghdad street.
I would go with the ferry.
