The location on the Bosphorous is not to be missed; great cafe overlooking the water and very, very interesting exhibits. I especially liked the self-portrait section and the photography.

Make ure there is no cruise ship parked in front and even if you do not gave time for the museum go for the view of the Bosphorus from he cafe.

Really enjoyed to see modern art from Turcs. Great pieces. The museum situation is totally outstanding! Go have a the on the terrace after having look all the collection!

Very interesting and worth a visit. I'm not much of a fan of contemporary art but it was very interesting. The installation of floating books in the lower floor was fantastic!

You could skip this if you mainly want to see mosques and Greek antiquities, but if you want a glimpse into modern Turkish cultural life this is a must.
