Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The main street of the old town Probably it looked very beautiful in that ancient times. Even today is pretty umpressive with its massive marble slabs, columns and ruins of different monuments.

Another walk that you will take during your visit to this amazing site of ancient ruins. Along the way you will imagine what life was once in this bustling city

Interesting street of Ephesus that takes you to all of the main areas of historic site! One thing is that the cobblestone road is extremely slippery so you need to be careful, even during dry weather! Selfie time!

After paying the entrance fee at the Gate, I started my walk and came accross this wide road. It is a short wide street with columns, remnats of some ruins and other attractions along the way,
In the old days, perhaps it was used for the grand entry from the Pier to the old City of Ephesus. Took several pictures here and walked towards the other attractions of Ephesus.

Main street during ancient times. Traversing temples then going to the library. During our visit it was not crowded. And we were comfortable since it was mildly cold. Good for photos.

Fabulous views walking down the Mermerli Yol, looking toward the Library of Celsus. A great place for photos (but usually crowded).

This is the main ancient road in Ephesos and normally it is crowded with tourists coming off the large cruise-ships in Kusadasi. So, if you want to avoid the huge crowds coming in it is wise to be here early in the morning, preferably at opening time or later in the afternoon when these tours have left the site.
There are many things to see and you will pass many quaint buildings as the public lavatory, the odeon (directly when you enter) and statues of all sorts. As the road comes to a 90 degree turn you will see the impressive library at the end of the road.

It is one of the major roads of ancient Ephesus and led to the Library of Celsus. Paved with very slippery stones so I suggest caution even on dry.
