It takes a bit of courage to climb the stairs down - they are attached to the side of the mountain so there is quite a drop on the side. It's totally worth it. And the view is amazing - the mountains on one side and the Dead Sea all the way to the horizon. And some Roman encampment ruins... More

Beautiful location. Excellent lobby, spa, indoor pool, jacuzzi outdoor pool and fab seaside faciliites, We spent the day here so Idont know what the rooms are like but from heresay they are also first class. There was an excellent poolside musician to enjoy while we were in the pool. A thoroughly enjoyable day.

I have heard about Masada for many years. It was so amazing to visit and actually see firsthand the intricacies of the palace and the different parts of the ruins. Our Tour guide was very knowledgeable and was not only able to answer all of our questions but was pursued by other visitors who had questions for him. It is... More

Its very interesting to see the palace and how it was well equipped ... the story is very sad indeed; but you can have a grasp of how things really went.

Visiting Masada and seeing the construction of this fort is impressive. It is easily accessible via cable car and its worth the time and effort it takes. If you enjoy history this is the place for you.

Easily accessible via cable car. It is absolutely amazing what people have done at this time. During a tour, you can admire the fortifications, cisterns, storage rooms and even a sauna. The palace itself is located on several levels and offers a beautiful view of the Dead Sea.

This is a stunning place to visit. Not much to add to what other travellers have said other than to suggest you watch the 1980s TV series 'Masada' starring Peter O'Toole on DVD or download before you come. It tells the story of the siege of Masada from a Jewish and Roman perspective. In fact, they actually show excerpts from... More

How the were able to supply this palace with its food and water for survival of so many for all the years the refuges lived there is surreal. My favorite part of this tour was seeing all the school children. They were extremely friendly and warm. One of their projects was to ask tourist if they would take a picture... More

Seeing the enormity of this structure on top of this mountain makes me wonder how did they get all the supplies up there without modern equipment and how to build such a magnificent building.
