Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Supposed to be a thriving community. Yet found it to be basically one street in town with not much going on. Only one or two restaurants had people in them, most are empty early in the evening. Not worth the time in my opinion.

Everything about this location/neighborhood is stunning and lovely. Plenty of options for dining out - coffee, dinner, nargila (hooka), breakfast; quick 'metronit' bus to take you around; hostels aplenty. The Bahai Gardens hold presence at one end of this neighborhood, while the port of Haifa makes up the other end. Stunning scenery all around.

At the bottom of the Bahai's Gardens you find the German Colony, this area has houses from the time of the German Templars, they have been kept and they host restaurants and stores, its a very nice walk for several blocks which continue down to the port. There are many options for food.

Absolute a must visit in magical impressing Israel. Haifa isn't beautiful as Jeruzalem, but absolute a must visit.

The neighbourhood has old buildings in a kind of german style. The main street has a lot of bars and restaurants. This street starts in the habour area and runs till the gardens.

This area is a foodies delight with restaurants along the whole of the street on either side and looking up to the magnificent gardens of the temple.

The german influence in this colony is not so obvious:
- a couple of houses with "german style" roofs
- an old inscription in german (see photo)

Don't expect to be back in Goethe's homeland, you are definitely still in the Middle East.

The German colony was established by immigrant Germans that came to Haifa. The buildings are quaint and look out of place in the Middle East but it is a neat place. Some restaurants here for the hungry.
