The Port visit was great and the new developments for the Port expansion which are underway are impressive

A busy port on the Mediterranean, this is a good area for walking and watching boats and ships. Take a boat ride around the harbor.

We came here with a tour guide who drove us on winding roads to an overlook on the top of Mount Carmel to get an unobstructed panoramic view of the very commercial Haifa Port. WOW! What a view that was! From our vantage point, we...More

For average tourists like me, Haifa Harbour is a site, not a sight. It is a vast active port where people work to earn a living. Visitors who are interested in harbours may be of another opinion, but for me, Haifa harbour is a means...More

A developing lively area, full of good restaurants and pubs. However, the place itself is a bit small, and suffers from many shabby spots that desperately need major restoration.

Go to the same lookout point as the Bahá’i Gardens to get a great view of the port. You can see all the ships directly offshore as well.

If you like ships, sea transportation, then this is the right place for you. Remember not to take pictures - they would come up to you to remind you this. This is also a militarily sensitive area.

I myself am not the biggest fan of ports and this one did not particularly change my mind. But if you visit the gardens might as well visit this side as well.

Nazareth is due south of Haifa and inland a bit. There is not a lot there. As the schedule is tight you should make sure the staff on board know where you are going. The Galilee is enchanting, peaceful and beautiful. You... More
