We loved being so close to such ancient history, and felt as though the place was a living museum that we could touch and experience a dip into history.

Here you can see the ongoing archaeological digs of this city that dates back to the Jebusites before King David conquered the city 3000 years ago.

Truly unfortunate that our payment for entering the archeological site goes to fund nefarious activities in the neighborhood. Turns out the organization that runs this site is pretty extreme with a very clear agenda... Glad to have learned you can enter many places in this...More

If there are 10 places that you shouldn't leave Israel without seeing, this is one of them. This is truly where it all began. There is a lot of history right under your feet literally. You should not miss this important sight.

It is fascinating to look at the excavations and walk through the tunnels to the Pool of Siloam. Don't miss it!

it is informative and spiritual by usually pleasant guides. Would like to be able to ask a few more questions but we know that time is a problem. This site is important to Christians as well !

Fascinating history here with incredible views to the surrounding hillsides from where his palace may have been. This city is outside the walled old city, but only a short walk away. Lots of excavations here. It’s a National Park. Best with a guide.

Look at the City of David website, they have an online store and it's very good. His book is there as are many others. Let me know if this is not enough.
