Nicole is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of Jerusalem: ancient history, religion, architecture, modern history, politics, day-to-day life, etc. And she knows everyone inch of the Old City and is very attentive to everyone in the group. When we told her some in our group were very tired, she quickly ushered us into the Austrian Guest House for a break which turned out to be a wonderful oasis in the middle of the Old City that was not at all apparent from the outside. She proceeded to give us some great background history while we recovered in a pretty outdoor cafe. Nicole was very attentive to each member of the group, she made sure to address each person's special areas of interest. When Nicole realized that one of the women in our group was very interested in food, she proceeded to give us a "food tour" of Jerusalem as we walked through the Old City and explained the role food played during Ramadan. Her tour of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre was outstanding, she showed us the hidden aspects of the church that would escape most casual tourists (e.g. the Ethiopian sect living on the roof of the church, the underground burial chambers carved into rock, etc.) She was able to explain the significance of each element within the church and also the relationships b/w the sects who reside there which was also fascinating. Having a guide like Nicole made all the difference. Instead of just walking around and seeing a bunch of buildings and ruins, she made the Old City come alive with her commentary. A friend initially recommended Nicole when my family was looking for tour guide. Her tour was so good I booked her again a couple of weeks later for another group of friends that came over and were visiting Israel for the first time - I wanted to share Nicole's view of the city, the country, and the history with them. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed her tour and her willingness to share her extensive knowledge. I knew I could have found a cheaper tour but I wanted to share this excellent experience with my friends.

Nicole (Nikky) is so well organized and deeply knowledgeable that we still can’t believe how much we saw and learned in one day! On our own, and without her guidance, the Old City would have been a maze of unrelated epochs, religions, and details. Nicky made the area come alive by clearly explaining the relationship between the historical sights and Jerusalem today and showing us the important places for each religion. She made a special effort to make sure that we saw everything that we wanted to see, as well many fascinating things that we didn’t even know were there. Several times passersby were so interested in what she was telling us, that they started asking questions too. We highly recommend her for a day in Jerusalem, and if we ever plan another trip, she will be our first call.

We met our tour guide, Nicole, through a friend of the family. She agreed on very short notice to take us on a private tour, and was very communicative and easy to talk to from the start. She was also agreeable in working with our tight schedule, since we had a lot of bags and had traveled from a different city. The tour itself started off with a brief lesson in the history of the region, using a variety of easy to read maps and other visual aids. This was very helpful to preface the avalanche of information that was ahead of us. We then proceeded to see the Old City, the Wailing Wall, and an overview of the Damascus Gate and Muslim Quarter, the Christian Quarter and a detailed "pilgrimage" through the Via Dolorosa, culminating in the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, and Jesus's burial site. We learned about each site in a concise, yet sufficient amount of time so that all of our questions were answered but there was enough time to see everything in our itinerary. Finally, we finished our tour in the Jewish quarter and had a took a moment to discuss and reflect upon the profound and transformative experience. Nicole has the knowledge and impartial approach of a historian meanwhile fully elaborating on the often turbulent theological narratives that underlie the beauty and power of Jerusalem.

Nikki is a great tour guide. She arranged the tour based on our input, and gave us a fabulous look at old Jerusalem. She has a firm grasp on Israeli history and helped us to understand both the early days of Jerusalem as well as the current situation. It was clear that she was extremely respectful of all religions as we roamed about. She was also very flexible. When we suddenly needed a bank, she drove through crowded streets, off the beaten track to look for what we needed. She was also friendly and cheerful. I highly recommend her Tour and Explore Jerusalem guided tour.
