This place is huge, and has so much more than just the Dead Sea Scrolls and the old city miniature model. Give yourself plenty of time to fully explore the grounds and other exhibits.

We visit the Israel Museum every time we come to Jerusalem since our girls were babies and now they are teenagers. There are always amazing exhibits as well as the permanent collection.

Israeli senior citizens get a special ID at age 62 for women and 67 for men. As I can't imagine the cashier asking for your passport I would assume that theu inquire what your age is' Check their website to be sure.
