We joined a tour in English (highly recommended) and learned all there was to know about this synagogue from a small town near Venice that had been moved, intact, to a primary location in Jerusalem. Beautiful, fascinating and spiritual. The synagogue is used every Shabbat and Yom Tov for services.

Most people love the small, treasure-box of the synagogue, but make sure you leave time to visit the incredible museum as well! There is a new exhibition about the life of the Jews in the Venetian Ghetto--it's well worth the visit. Also inquire about the cultural events going on, or check their Facebook page, because there's always something going on.... More

We visited this beautiful building and enjoyed the ancient architecture and the amazing decoration . So much history and art . You don't have to be a Jew to enjoy and learn the history , heritage and the cultural influences that created this unique atmosphere.

The synagogue is a reconstruction of the synagogue as it was in Italy. It is Interesting from a historical viewpoint and it is currently still being used. The adjacent museum has interesting artifacts of the Italian-Jewish community. If you like seeing artifacts from old Jewish communities, you will love this museum. For the rest, it's an interesting 45 minutes.

A beautiful small museum with great Jewish Italian art. The ancient synagogue (300 YEARS OLD) is little Italy in the middle of Jerusalem. Check the beautiful painted room at the entrance, and ask about performances. They have Operas and choirs and live music at night.
