Mt. Herzl National Cemetery is the military cemetery of Israel. The graves of so many young men and women are here, testimony to the hard won independence and continuing survival needs of this not yet 70 year old country. The graves cry to us and...More

The graves of some of Israel's most famous leaders are here, including Theodor Herzl and Yitzhak Rabin. If you walk down the hill on the opposite side of the entrance you will end up at Yad Vashem (Holocaust Museum.)

The graves of some of Israel's most notables including Herzl, Jabotinsky, Golda Meir and Yigael Yadin. The graves are humble and it was impressive to see Yadin buried simply with the men who fought under him during the Sinai Campaign.

The visit pays homage to the great leaders of Israel and the brave soldiers of Israel who gave their lives for Israel and has an excellent museum on Theodor Herzel

Felt like an important site to see to honor Israel's founders and leaders. Not an easy site for children - they get bored by the history lesson, but for me, history lover, it was a good stop.

What better place to visit than to honor all those that gave of their lives for the Jewish Nation. Without their Holy Service to their Nation there would not be a place for the Jewish Nation to return to.

Went there to give my respect to our late president Shimon Peres, one of the greatest people for 4 generations. Still no tomb and flowers from all over the world drying in the sun, that is where we all end. But the people burried there,...More
