The rooster crowed and Peter denied knowing Jesus three times, just as Jesus and predicted. Note the artwork at this church and especially the entry door.

It is amazing to see the actual road that Jesus would have walked upon from the Garden of Gethsemene to Caiphus' house. The feeling that is evoked in the cell where Jesus was likely held prisoner is undescribable. Must see!

This church is outside the present wall of the Old City in Jerusalem. It is said that Peter was here when he heard the ruster singing, and when he realized that Jesus was right when he predicted this event. If I am not mistaken, it...More

This church has 3 levels. The first level is entered through a double door with a beautiful carving relief showing the last supper where Jesus told Peter that he will deny knowing him. In that level there is a church with beautiful paintings on the...More

A beautiful memorial to the denial by Peter of knowing Jesus. Gallicantu means "cock crow" so is aptly named. Again a guide is needed to explain a complex building and archaeological site. There are great views of the Kidron Valley towards the Mount of Olives....More

The church s nice and has some good views but my takeaway was the path that dates back to the 1st Century. Not in my top 10 of Jerusalem but nice enough to visit.

This church is easily recognizable by the image of a chicken on the tower. It reminds us of the story of Peter denying Jesus 3 times before the rooster crows. This church is quite magnificent with beautiful scenery because it is above the altitude. From...More

There was so much to see.. the place where Peter denyed Jesus, the prison cell of Jesus, and the place where Pontious Pilot washed his hands.

Average church with little to no significant murals inside. The best part for me was pulling my feet in the Sea of Galilee
