Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Grotto of Gethsemane, is a short walk from the Tomb of Mary. You enter through the door and go down stair to the grotto, it is here that Jesus use to to came when he was in Jerusalem, it is here were he came after the passover and it was here that he was betrayed by Judas with a kiss, visited a while back. It is used as a Chapel, behind the alter there is a picture of Jesus talking to the disciples and under the table are two figures showing the disciples sleeping. This cave has a water cistern and it dates before Jesus.

One of the interesting points on the Mount of Olives, and a point of pilgrimage as well. Well worth stopping by.

Located outside of the entrance to the Virgin Mary’s tomb. A quick visit is all that is required. There were some posters with information explaining the significance of this place.

We were most fortunate to have mass celebrated for our small group in this small cave. It has been held that Christ and his companions frequented this cave, and that it was from this cave that Christ went out to pray in the Garden that night after they had the Last Supper. Whether it was in the cave where Judas betrayed Christ or whether it was very near there in the Garden itself isn't the point. It is in this very small area where these critical events occurred and where salvation history continued to play out. Very much worth a visit...it is a spot many pilgrims miss.

This is a small grotto and reminds of the story of Jesus and the disciples - this s supposedly one place where the disciples used to sleep.

This place is also called the Grotto of Navity or the birth cave, also commonly called the Holy Manger. Being in this place reminds me of where Jesus was born in his simplicity as told in the Gospels. Its location is in a crypt in the Church of Nativity. To get to that place I had to pass through the Door of Huility by bending down and taking turns with a long enough queue time. I queued for almost an hour to get a chance to touch the 14-pointed star where Jesus was born. but for me, the length of the queue is very proportional to the chance of seeing this sanctuary

This is the grotto where Judas betrayed Jesus with a kiss, so it's a highly simbolic place, immediately close to the Virgin Mary church.
Worth a visit together with the church and the Gethsemane Garden

It’s adjacent to Mary’s Tomb.... tiny little place to pop in, take a pic and know the significance of it. Glad i saw it because it would niggle me forever if i never went in. Got the photo and left! Early morning and absolutely no-one around! Fab

The grotto was not open when we were there. However, you can peer into it and take photos. Important piece of history. Located at the Mount of Olives, near Mary's tomb.
