Driven into the desert in 4x4s to see the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, the old railway and many stories of Lawrence's travels. Walked up huge sand dune to see distant views - breath-taking. Also drank tea at a Bedouin tented camp where they sold local products. Recommend the sweet smelling Jordanian musk, brilliant for keeping moths at bay.

The day 2 tour started from Petra to Wadi Rum. It's quite a distance. Stopped by by the old Hejaz railway station. Our bus stopped at Wadi Rum and we continued our trip on 4x4 through the desert. The views are just breathtaking. Lunch was set up in the middle of the desert in tents. The food was excellent. After... More

The desert is truly red, the dunes are funny and the beduin experience is very much informative and fantastic also. You can taste the te at the beduin camp and also ride a camel if you like. I recommend visiting wadi run at least for a couple of hours

Words cannot describe how amazing this place is .. The silence of the desert is soo deep I have never experience such feeling .. totally a must see place if you are in jordan. There are camps you can either see it in one day or you can sleep over and experience sunrise or/and Sunset

A very different experience from the normal run of the mill attractions. Visiting here is akin to walking on the surface of Mars. You really feel like you're on the set of Star Wars

Took a solo jeep safari here. View of mountains with colorful rocks was astonishing, memory of this trip is unforgettable. Also enjoyed camel ride which is must here to enjoy serenity of the place.

Sleeping under the stars was one of my best experience. The Jordanian desert is truly beautiful at night or day. Jeep drive was fun, if you get to drive a little in the desert, it really adds to the experience. Since I went in February, the night was cold but we had electric blankets that made it very comfortable.

It's a must visit place and should be on itinerary of Jordan for every tourist. Even if you have seen deserts and sands, Wadi Rum is surely a different experience
