Even our tour guide did not realise till we got there that the mosque was not open to non Muslims. This was very disappointing for a country that claims to practice religious tolerance.

This mosque is on a hill, that has a great view of the surrounding areas. The mosque is modern but has a lot of character with its architectural style. It is one of Amman's landmark mosques. The facilities are good. It's a relaxing mosque and...More

The mousque is so typical architecture of Southern-SHam area and it is a piece of art in addition to a great atmosphere for praying, I love it.

Our group who had stopped to take pictures of the outside of the building were forced to delete them in front of an officious armed guard. Our guide did say this was unusual.

It's near jordan royal automobile museum. It's closed when I went there. There's a park in front of it where a lot of people used to have picnics over there.

Traditionally mosques are open all day, but this one is not. We went on a Friday afternoon and it was closed. The hill is nice and you can take few photos in case it was closed.
