Amazing ruins . You only can comprehend it after visited it . The glamour of the past , the strong desire to show off your power , and power they had . Men and their skills put together to prove what a nation or kingdom can do when we get together with one intent or desire .

I know a lot of people come to Jordan for Petra but these ruins definitely need to be visited as well. This is the most preserved ruins outside of Italy and it is amazing. We got a guide which I would recommend, we found it worth it. We got lots of great information and he would take our picture as... More

After seeing different ruins and artifacts around Jordan this was our final stop. I was concerned that after seeing so many places we would not enjoy this as much, but we loved it! We hired one of the guides and he was wonderful. So knowledgeable and engaging. He had a kind sense of humor and shared insights we would never... More

When planning our trip to Jordan we kept going back and forth on whether or not to include Jerash in our itinerary or not. We decided to keep it in, and I'm so glad we did. These ruins are amazing. There are a fair number of ruins to visit in Jordan, and we've seen our fair share of more famous... More

We left Amman early on a Saturday morning with the intention of arriving before the crowds. It took us just 45mins to get to Jerash so the plan was working so far. We were virtually there on our own and decided to get a guide as the site was much larger than we thought. We were so glad we did.... More

This site is an excellent example of Roman architecture. This should be on your list of things to do while in Jordan. Give yourself more than the 1.5-2 hour tour that they allot with a guide. The site is very large. I would recommend about 3-4 hours or more.

We went round Jerash with a guide which is just as well or I think we would have missed a lot. Two weeks on it's all a bit of a blur but there is a lot to see and it was the best bit of rubble crunching I've done in a while. It was pretty warm even in November so... More

I went to Jerash with a friend, not really expecting much after a lot of people told me that if I have seen Petra, Jerash will not be interesting, but they were wrong. I loved it as soon as I walked in. The ticket is not as expensive as Petra (the ticket to Jerash is 10 JD for a foreigner... More

I absolutely love ruins; they stretch my imagination, amaze me with their workmanship, and inspire me to fill the gaps in my knowledge of history. These ruins are fantastic and easily accessible to anyone able to negotiate steps and, able to walk moderate distances. Much of what can be seen here is original, though a significant amount has been rebuilt... More

We love this site since it is well preserved. It is called Pompeii of the East but in my opinion it is much better than Pompeii in Italy. One thing we less like, there are locals that try to get some money by offering help taking a picture. There are some shows but we missed it since we arrived in... More
