The whole place is well organized and has had a lot of money invested in it. The mosaics are in better shape than those in Madaba. The views down to the plains are great...you can see the Dead Sea and the West Bank even on...More

We drove up here on our way from the Dead Sea to Petra. The drive up is very spectacular. The sight itself is popular with tourist trips and is owned by an order of monks and is not on the Jordan Pass so a 2D charge...More

View of the Holy Land and southern Jordan. On very clear days viewers can catch glimpses of the towers and buildings of Jerusalem. It is believed that Moses saw the Promised Land from this point

This is more biblically significant then it is a great attraction. The view is great and the church has some beautiful Mosaic floors. Jordan has numerous mountains so you find great views all over.

Beautiful site maintained by Fransican monks. Stunning view from the purported site of Moses encounter with God and the Promised Land. The modern church houses an amazing collection of mosaics. Very well presented, nice architecture and great lighting. Not to be missed.

I don't think the Jordanians will let an Israeli guide come over as they get along but don't really like each other. I have never been to Israel but I have heard that border crossings can take up to 3 hours each way, so plan... More

No special attire required at Mount Nebo which is not so much a church as a museum but always advise tourists to dress conservatively in Jordan i.e. no bare shoulders or shorts. Jeans and tee shirts are fine. NB that Mount... More
