It is the second time for me visiting this museum and I'm still amazed by the quality of the path. The location is great with lot of place for everybody (we were alone my husband and I) and the path is very didactic. The history of the Arabic Golfe is interesting, more than the second floor which is about Islam... More

This has to be the most underrated and under-marketed places in Riyadh ever! It's so unique, you're truly taken back in time and learn so much. The place is huge and beautiful! The best time to visit is after 6pm when the sun is not harsh and you can enjoy the mini stores and tea shops outside right after. Definitely... More

The museum is very large, staff is friendly and resourceful. There are many areas where if you push a button you will get a full audio and visual explanation of the history, I had a personal tour by the director which was fantastic, a must see if you are a history buff.

Best visited during hot summer months, this is a well-designed and spacious museum. We went there on a weekend and there was hardly anyone else so we had almost the place for ourselves. Friendly staff. Watch out for specific timings for family only or singles only.

I love museums and this one was just great. It contained everything from ancient meteorites to evidence of pre-Islamic cultures then to the journeys of the Prophet and Islamic Arabia. There are a number of Interactive Screens where you can see the old places as they once were. These were fascinating. My personal favourites were the Nabatean Tombs. For a really... More

After the superb national museum in Bahrain is this excellent museum. The Saudis have created a thorouly professional and world-class presentation. The reconstructions of historical sites like Madain Salih are particularly good. Look for the cases with examples of non-orthodox Islamic texts. Make sure to watch the films.

Hi, The national museum is a must hit if planning to visit the Riyadh, especially if interested in history. The place would give you an in depth knowledge of the history of Saudi Arabia and origin of Islam. Good information.

I visited the museum twice. The displays are very well designed, it covers the history up to current days. It is spacious, and every time I was there it was quiet. Staff is very friendly and helpful. It is very educational for someone not from the country or the region.
