An excellent visit overall. Plenty of very cheap local restaurants that serve excellent food (much better value then many of the fancier restaurants in the city), and half a litre of freshly squeezed juice for one dinar ($4-4.50AUD~). Enough shops there to keep one busy...More

Great place to eat and enjoy local activities. The food was AMAZING and so was the tea. Especially enjoyed the feeling of welcoming offered by the Kuwaitis. The chicken kabab with rice and peppers was my favorite. I highly recommend the shopping as well.

The souk is well preserved with some older buildings and lots of newer ones built with covers over the walkways. If you need something or need to kill some time take a walk through the souk and check it out.

Shopping in Mubarkiya is enjoyable specially for old retired ppl. The price of the shopping is reasonable. The worst thing is shopping in summer due to continuous dust storm and bad weather.
