Tours by appointment only! The Only House in the World entirely covered with Mirror Mosaic by a single artist! The Mirror House, also called, The Khalifa & Lidia Qattan Art Museum, is the residence of the Pioneer Kuwaiti Artist, Khalifa Qattan, and his wife Lidia, both artists whom have opened their house and art galleries to share their unique art with people from around the world. The artist and creator of the Mirror House, Lidia Qattan, still gives personal tours of her magical house, which is in reality a wonderful journey of exploration.

Definitely worth going to. The owner (an Italian lady) had a Kuwaiti husband and they built the villa. All sorts of exquisite art work and of course mirrors on the wall. About 10 guests at a time can go on tour. One is served snacks and drinks (tea/sodas) and then gets an hour and a half tour showing paintings, carvings,... More

An interesting concept, that is made all the more interesting by the personal guided tour by the artist couple's surviving partner, who is herself a bridge between two rather contrasting civilizations..the artwork itself may not be to everyone's taste, but the artist's commitment and sincerity does come shining through while interacting with the gracious hostess..a fast vanishing example of grace,... Mirror House is just not a house with some magnificent art forms but it is a Temple of Arts, Science and Philosophy. I got amazed by the passion of Madam Lidia's Work. Each piece of glass put by her on the floor and wall not only certify her love of arts but also represents the affection of love, freedom and... More

For all those serious tourists and visitors, make sure you do not miss this place. You need to call ahead to join a tour. Lidia, the surviving half of this remarkable artist couple, will take you around on a magical tour of her home and it will be a mix of art, philosophy, astronomy, cosmology topped with a delicious, warm... The Mirror House is loads of fun for all ages and more exciting with friends to share the event. The owner and her daughter are special people who love art and sharing their love of art.

After trying to book by phone and not getting through, we turned up at the Mirror House by taxi and were very fortunate that Lydia was in, to give us a tour of her quirky home. Do book ahead though, as turning up without an appointment does not mean that she will either be there or have the time for... More

We found this in the Lonely Planet Guide, and they mentioned that one needs to phone ahead for admittance and the obligatory guided tour. This is also stated on the wall outside the house. Luckily for us, our taxi driver phoned the house, and the owner/guide, artist Lidia Al Qattan, graciously accepted to show us around with less than 5... More

Thank you very much for your wonderful review and indeed, for stating the fact that having the arist herself do the tour is a privilege. Thank you More

This was a great experience for me. However, you will need to have an appointment scheduled beforehand to plan the visit. The house is owned by a very accommodating lady named Madam Lidia and her late husband Mr. Khalifa. This wonderful lady welcome the guests with different kinds of tea and sweets. The visit could only take 1/2 hour to... More
