I was very lucky to be invited by the Ministry of Tourism to descend and explore this cave. And it is superb. It's well worth a visit even if it is closed. The drive up the hill is 'exiting' to say the least and the beauty and tranquility of the plateau is breathtaking. The holes are spectacular, but take care,... More

After visiting wadi arbaeen, because of curiosity we decided to visit salma plateau. a dusty 30 minutes ascend and it will really test your skills on offroad driving, not only a winding road its also steep. the best way to go up is through fins, coz you will reach directly to Majlis Al Jinn chamber. And the road way back... More

The cave is spectacular you can only see it from the top and as it is closed to adventures you can't climb down or anything. But their are other caves in the area that are open to adventurers we climbed another cave in the same location. If you like an adrenaline rush this is something you should try, its beautiful... One of the largest caves in the world but untapped despite its proximity to the Wadi Bani Khalid (the wonderful oasis) and has a huge hole suitable for adventurers who are interested in skydiving, but still closed treasure

First time I went there had to walk there from Ibra side of the mountains. Took a whole day to get there. Now you can drive up the Jebel from the Tiwi coast. The drive-up is somrthing else. But worth the view when yopu get to the top. Visit the air strip whilst up there

No public access unless you request a permit from the government. Better have a good reason to be wanting to abseiling down a couple hundred feet of rope, remember you've got to get back up again. The cave is a collosal space

I’m not really sure why the Majilis Al Jinn is on here as an attraction, as going into the cave is not something visitors can experience without prior permission from the authorities. The site is also completely inaccessible unless you have a very good 4x4 available to make the steep off-road journey up to the Selma Plateau where you can,... More
