Souq Waqif is modeled on an old style Souq with twisting side streets where shops are almost within touching distance either side of the streets. Lots of things to look at and or buy - haggle hard and get a bargain - be it jewelry, traditional style clothing or a keepsake. Lots of cafe's and restaurants to choose from too... More

We spend approximately 3 hours in Souq Waqif (Old Market) worth to have some traditional homemade foods from the corner near the mosque. We booked this tour with Qatar Inbound Tours and our guide offered some homemade breads. Many local ladies selling this fancy bread at the souq. Try it try it.. it really taste.

It is best to dine at Souq Waqif in winter time. You will come across many activities during festive season as well.

it's a very cozy place in Doha with local ambiance and culture, so many things inside to explore the markets or just to sit and enjoying shisha with karak tea for an hour or more, never get bored to go Souq Waqif in my off days, best time to visit at night.

A really good place to visit when your with friends. You find good cafes, Small shops for clothes, souvenirs and even pets.If your interested in artworks they even have a Art center were you find different types of Artworks displayed. Souq has some places with the best Shisha and Rooftop Dining experience.

It is amazing how such a small place has this much wealth of culture, great for buying souvenirs and gifts, very tasty restaurants and good places for smoking shisha (hookka), excellent candy and nuts market, the only thing i would not recommend is the pets stores at the back of it, smelly and you cant but feel sorry for animals... The closest I think I got to any type of local culture. Love wandering the small streets and alleys. Shops are reasonably priced and the workers are not forceful. Good place to pick up souvenirs. I found a local shisha place to people watch and have a tea. Loved it!
