This multi-billion dollar hotel is a sight to behold and can give you insight into the lives of the super rich! Nearly everything is covered in gold leave--even the coffee! We had dinner in one of the hotel restaurants (not cheap, but affordable as a special night out) which then also gives you access to the areas of the back... More

The emperor place presently converted into a luxury hotel. We visited in the afternoon & only could get a distant view from outside. During our stay, could spot a helicopter probably carrying guests inside the property. Don't think, it is meant for regular tourists and hence could be excluded from tourist agenda especially when actually cannot see anything.

Firstly this is an amazing place to stay. I would recommend staying here. But with previous visits to Abu Dhabi, I thought staying here would take holidaying to the next level. We're talking 7*, this is the pinnacle of all hotels. And I have been asked what is the next 2* for........ and I have no answers. Previously staying in... More

This is a self-titled 7 Star hotel, with top of the line restaurants, so expect to pay a hefty price for anything inside. Admission is free! But just be dressed appropriately, smart casual, no shorts for men. Or else they won't let you in. They used to have a gold ATM which is one of the very few in the... More

We were not allowed to enter by security even though we would be dining at their restaurant. We were riding an SUV and with my guest from the US but were not allowed by the rude security. Although I could see him ignoring the Caucasian pedestrians in shorts entering. Very disappointing.

It is an imposing building and very beautiful. I think it's much chicer than Burj al arab, although we had a better service there.
