- Everywhere EscapesMiddle East1,806 contributionsWorld Class Golf CourseSuperb golf course along a broad seawater lagoon, with amazing scenery. Appropriately ranked among the top 50 gold courses by various experts in the past, deservedly! The Clubhouse is luxurious. The practice facilities have flood lights. There are many hotels in close proximity of the golf course. The views of the Abu Dhabi Skyline on a clear day without haze are really nice. Yas Marina Formua 1 circuit is in close proximity.Visited November 2023Travelled with friendsWritten 29 February 2024
- Karl BLondon, United Kingdom48 contributionsYou need to play this courseYas Links truly delivered a fantastic experience once again! I've had the pleasure of playing this course several times over the years, and it consistently impresses. The course presents a solid challenge and in superb condition, and the greens were exceptionally fast on this visit. It's definitely worth a trip, and the food at the 19th hole is a delightful way to cap off the day!Visited February 2024Travelled on businessWritten 13 May 2024

- Noran A1 contributionEngagement eventI had my engagement party there. The classy venue, the breathtaking views, the atmosphere, the impeccable service, the versatile food options & amazing quality, everything was out of this world. I’m so glad I chose to host my engagement party there. I also cannot stress enough how wonderful the whole events team was. They didn’t miss out on a detail & were so understanding to my needs. They’re basically the main reason the event turned out as perfect as it did. The price per head was also very reasonable & better than most places in Abu Dhabi.Visited July 2024Travelled with familyWritten 11 September 2024

Played on 2nd Jan and very disappointed. So many rave reviews about this course but, apart from the excellent, consistent greens, the worst conditioned golf course I’ve played in the Middle East by some way.
Talked to some staff at the end, and it’s been like this for 2 years and getting worse! Am baffled by recent reviewers praising the place.
Water table issues with all the massive building work around the course causing salt problems particularly on low lying fairways. Extensive areas of brown fairways and rough areas with no grass. Areas with stagnant smelly water and large muddy areas. One fairway with several deep excavations and pumps/hoses across the fairway. Many muddy bunkers with crumbling edges. Extensive wear areas and detours at cart path entries to fairways. Many areas where ‘good’ fairway turf is being cut up to patch bare bits.
All in all a real mess and difficult to see how any of this can be turned round.
Add in, as previous reviewers have highlighted, jets over head every 10 minutes, the massive engine/tyre noise from the racetrack, and the screaming from the people on the Big Dipper ride next door every 5 mins, it’s a mystery as to why anyone would want to pay around $250 for this ‘pleasure’

I was excited to play here having read/heard about it, but astonished at the really poor state of the course in parts (see photos uploaded). I still enjoyed playing the course overall and it's a good track (helped by a good score admittedly, but the landing zones on the fairways were mostly fine and greens were consistently good), but it looks like the course has a long way to recover to get to the standard expected. The cars screaming around the nearby Yas racetrack didn't provide a great backing track for our round (audible across the whole course). Next time I come for golf in UAE I'll be spending my money at Abu Dhabi GC and Saadiyat Beach (the former as good as you would expect and the latter is excellent).

Beautiful setting, good food, and great service. Eugene was our server and was prompt, friendly, and polite. He always shows an interest in our family when we arrive and goes the extra mile to make sure everyone is happy and catered for. Makes a real difference. Great for families in the good weather with open grass and play area. Highly recommended.

Any golfer who is either living in the UAE or visiting, you MUST play 18 holes at Yas Links. It is without doubt the best golfing experience in the country. Since opening in 2010, it has always been ranked as the number 1 course in the region and I agree 100%. The course condition is superb and a privilege to play on. Congratulations to Clinton Southorn (Cluster Director of Agronomy) and his hard working team on producing such an amazing product. The staff were so welcoming at the bag drop area and throughout the entire clubhouse. This was complimented by the on course staff who were also very accommodating during my round. I could tell that they have been well trained and managed. They all came across very knowledgeable, genuine and happy to be working at this world class facility. The Golf Operations Manager, Lee Waggott, took the time out of his busy schedule to spend some time with me on the 14th hole which I thought was a nice touch. Another quality product of Troon Golf who is excelling in his role and no doubt has a bright future. In closing, today's experience reminded me why I love the game of golf so much. Holes 16, 17 & 18 at sunset will be forever remembered in my mind. I am so looking forward to returning to the nation's capital to play this absolute gem again hopefully sooner rather than later. Well done to all involved, you are a credit not only your owners but the golf industry as a whole. Thanks to Daniel Wright for arranging. He met me on arrival and represented the club in such a professional way.

Played here last week and had an excellent day’s golf.
The staff are very friendly and attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
The golf course itself was superb, not really a links course in the true sense of the word but the way the course runs alongside the water provides great views and challenge.

Went with some friends to Yas Links, it’s definitely one of our favorite places with beautiful views and great food however service seems to be the sour point that always comes up.
We went about 50min before closing just to have some drinks, there were very few people and it seemed like the staff just wanted to go home, we were quickly told to order as the place will close in 50min so we did, drinks and nuts were brought pretty fast but then 5min later we were asked if we wanted to order again even though we just started our drinks and there was still 40min to closing, I explained I am not sure but will let the waiter know however within a few minutes the bill was presented to us snd the waiter just stood there waiting for us to pay. I understand it must be a long day but then just bring forward the closing time or when we came just say it’s too late but don’t push people to leave.
Anyway after that we paid and just left even though there was still 25min to closing and there were still a few other tables left.
Hope they can sort out the service part as it’s something we encountered every time.

Top of the line, pretty sure that there is a reason for this course being the worlds top leading courses, it's been a great game, apart from their superb facilities, this club simply stays ahead of all the other courses I ever played, greens, fairways, out of bounce, red, blue, yellow marks all there and how they suppose to be. Definitely an extreme professional management team. It is definitely worth to paying a visit, come and go, enjoy this amazing course

Fantastic links style course clinging to the water’s edge providing a major challenge at 6600 yards. High quality practice facilities and range balls included with top service from all the staff. Fairly quiet even in January’s perfect weather, but we still made up a 4 ball. Super layout and had it not been for the building going on around perimeter this would be 5 stars.
Green fees probably above average compared to Europe, but an experience not to be missed.

Friendly staff, well organised, excellent facilities. The whole course was in excellent condition, at times, difficult to tell the actual green from the run off area. Both Green and Tees were faultless. A real golfing challenge, which still left you with a smile on your face, after 3 putting. Wind got up on last three holes, which made the 18th play a whole lot longer. Definitely one to play on any golf trip to UAE. We are still buzzing about the course, absolutely loved it.
