We saw Casapueblo on our way out of Punta del Este, and we wish we would have gotten to it earlier! It was right when the sun was about to go away so it was dark, but we still got a beautiful view of the...More
What a unique and fascinating hideaway in Punta Ballena, and definitely a worthwhile short detour off the main highway. Taller de Casapueblo is located in a secluded off the beaten path overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The artist, Carlos Páez Vilaro, was born in Montevideo in...More
This is a wonderful museum, a structure that is a museum in itself and then filled with really neat works of art. To start there is a small theatre that explains all the details of the artist and the building- build with no 90 degree...More

A magical spot inside, outside and all around.
For the record, we are big Picasso fans.

All worth the pricey admission.
Excellent place to visit. Artist sharing video life experience is the best. Short time withun the tour because the site deserves to be visited more than one hour. I love cats, therefore I enjoyed their presence.
This museum was recommended to me and I'm grateful for the recommendation!
Casapueblo is certainly unique and is the home of Carlos Páez Vilaró of the most famous artists out of Uruguay and well known world wide.
Casapueblo is his home and now a wonderful...More

The Casapueblo building is also a unique entity!
If you get the chance to visit Punta Del este do yourself a favour and get out of the city and travel to Casapueblo 🙌🏻 It is approximately 15km from the centre of Punta Del este but worth every penny!
We walked for 5km along...More
