Some reviewers are confusing Bolivia's Legislature with the Presidential Palace. The Presidential Palace is on the same side of Plaza Murillo (adjacent to) the Tomb of Andres de Santa Cruz, and the Cathedral. Like the tomb, it is guarded by soldiers in red cermonial uniforms....More

when viewed from plaza murillo. Pics were marred by overhead construction cranes. learned about the reverse clock - how sundials work in southern hemisphere so president ordered to set apart from all other nations.

Right on the Plaza Murillo, this grandiose, yellow and white building is certainly imposing and architecturally, one of the highlights of La Paz. From the outside. Alas, visitors are nor permitted to visit.

I was there on a weekday. Many Bolivians came to take a look at the palast and surroundings. No One could tell me, why the clock on top of the building was running backwards, some said that the president wants to contradict everyone.... Beautiful scenery...More
