I have never seen a sports ( bike, running, skating...) route so big, they close a lot of streets across the city for this purpose. You can get to know the whole city.

The ciclovia makes sunday walks very pleasant and safe. Really nice to observe how the people are enjoying the ciclovia. The only negative thing is that it is really difficult to visit far away places that safe only open on sunday like the Usaquein market

I have to admit I did not ride in the ciclovia but I observed it from several viewpoints. What a wonderful idea someone had for this city. Made me want to hop on a bike and partake.

Great fun, motivating to see so many people exercising! There are plenty of places and run and cycle too and you can rest with a Salpicon when you get tired!

On sundays they close several streets and thousands of bikers take to the road for exercise and to explore bogota. a nice way to get around on sundays otherwise i would take that bus or other transportation on the other days.

They say that 1 Million of Bogata's 8 Million people take over the streets every single Sunday. If you're even a casual bike rider, don't miss this spectacular event

I did not see any bicycle rental shops. However, they may exist. Your hotel could help you. Ciclovia looks tremendously fun and great exercise.
