Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This is a truly remarkable and not to be missed memorial by Doris Salcedo to the Narco wars in Colombia. Our walking tour guide mentioned it to us, otherwise it does not seem to be very well known. We were the only visitors which added to the emotions bought on by walking on the floor made from melted down FARC guns. There is an incredible 20 minute video that explains all the steps- the surrender of the FARC weapons and the melting down and creation of the metal floor tiles. Not to be missed.

Open in December 2018, this contemporary masterpiece was built as part of the peace agreement betwen Colombian governement and guerilla of Farc after a civil conflic of 53 years. DORIS SALCEDO, one of todays most recognized artists in conceptual arts, mixed sculputure, architecture and films to create the atmosphere for deep emotions and reflexions on war and reconciliation.
Concibed as an "antimonument" because as the artist says:"this is not to honor war but to build forgivness and memory of the conflict". The spulpture is a a big floor in the midle of the ruins of a house of the XIX century, made with the wepons given by the guerrilla at the end of war, whose pieces has been hand crafted by a group of women who were victims of sexual asaults during the war. The film is a documental of the armistice and the process to build the marterpiece. So that "Fragments" is a must to understand whow arts can contribute to peace and reconciliation in a society.

This is the museum that was created for the lease that was ultimately signed between the government and the Farc terrorists. All the weapons were destroyed and the museum constructed by some of the women who were victims. This is the location where the negotiations took place. The destroyed weapons form part of the floor.

This museum is a memento of what Colombians hace gone through in the recent civil war, and a testimony from the women who suffered the violence. Is not an easy experience but is a must to see
