Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If you don't speak Spanish, this is not your place. It's a nice place to learn some basic things and for what i see it's directed for kids and teenagers.

Besides that, if you want to learn some things and you're not looking for a very scientific approach, it's a really nice way to spend 2-3 hours.

This is a big waste of time and money for english speakers as it is all in spanish with no support for other languages. It is mainly aimed at primary school kids and the topics are very basic, not much science involved here.
The dome is good but the content is very poor.
the lecture afterwards is all in spanish and focuses on mythology of columbia (in spanish) and not science of astronomy
If you are spanish native and have kids under 10 then maybe. If not dont waste your time

This was an interesting visit. El Planetario is an almost completely guided experience. You start by watching various segments in the dome. From there you are led to an information hub and given an interactive lecture on the different phases of the moon. You're then able to explore that section on your own for about 20-30 minutes. All of the information is very interesting and most of it had English translations on the information panels. After that, you're rounded up and brought to a room with tables and small chairs. Someone else leads a presentation on the theories revolving around dinosaurs and what happened to them. The presenter asks questions and calls on people to answer.

Overall it was a good experience. If you don't know Spanish then you won't understand 80% of the material. You'll only be able to read the information panels that are in English. I almost felt like I was back at university but I like space and my Spanish is decent (at best).

What made the Planetarium of Bogota so special was the staff. They had a telescope set up outside and were super helpful and interesting in letting us peer through it. The same in the exhibitions, very helpful and interesting staff.
The show itself was interesting to me because I am used to the sky in the north. Seeing the projects from a more southern latitude was interesting.
Be advised that I saw the show in Spanish

A grand tour of the planets and solar system with interactive exhibits. The presentations (in Spanish) on astrology are brilliant and entertaining. Look out for concerts held regularly at the museum

I visites the planetarium alone, assuming to learn about the universe. Regretfully, the main part was a light show to entertain children.
So, only visit the planetarium when you need to keep children entertained; the educational value is negligogle, however

I went with kids aged 5, 6 and 9 years old. We visited the Museum first and then the 180 degrees screen. The Museum was very inspiring. Most of the items are interactive and the staff are always friendly and genuined interested to talk and lear about our Universe. I personally wanted to stay longer but we had to rush to see the movie. The movie about the stars was also amazing. Its ashamed they don't have head phones with an english version. My husband didn't do it as he doesn't speak Spanish and he wished he could have watched it too. We left very inspired and ready to watch the stars at night and try our new knowledge.

This place is a 180° screen. It takes you to a trip to the Galaxy. My kids (11 and 13 years old) enjoyed it a lot. Highly recommend.
