You can't miss Jimenez, it is red bricked and snakes it's way down from the anniversary quarter into La Candelaria. It is lots of great eateries, especially in the sidexstreets leading off it near the turn off for the Botero Museum and the BBC Beerhouse. There is a very unique fountain feature running along one side. If you are staying in La Candelaria uiull probably find yourself on Jimenez quite a bit to-ing and fro-ing.

One of the nicer avenues in the city as it follows the original flow of the San Francisco river. Most colonial buildings along the avenue have been replaced by more modern structures and the river has been encapsulated in concrete, but trees have been planted along parts of the avenue especially towards the east. Moreover space for pedestrians and public transportation has been given priority here. Now to walk beyond the Parque de los Periodistas is not safe, even though I observed a lot of police. I hope in the future it will be possible to walk all the way up into the mountains again along the San Francisco nature trail.
